I’m a part-time barista and I love it. There are many aspects of the job that I find fulfilling. During the pandemic, being a barista has helped me feel less isolated. I’ve started forming casual relationships with new and returning customers, and it feels good to be a part of someone’s day-to-day life. That being said, I have been noticing the ways in which covid-19 seems to have unintentionally affected our social behavior.
